Faizon Love grew up as a military brat; raised in San Diego and Newark, NJ. He got his
start as a stand-up comedian and made his acting debut Off-Broadway both at the age of
nineteen. He’s appeared on Def Comedy Jam, Shaq’s All Star Comedy Jam and Martin
Lawrence’s 1’st Amendment Comedy.
In his motion picture debut Bebe’s Kids, Faizon provided a dead on vocal impression of
legendary comedian Robin Harris, who died before production began on this animated
cult classic. That later led to a role in The Meteor Man starring Robert Townsend who
then cast Love in a co-starring role on his sitcom The Parent ‘Hood.
Faizon's breakout performance, however, was as Big Worm in the 1995 hit film Friday
(Ice Cube, Chris Tucker). Follow up films include Elf (Will Ferrell), Couples Retreat
(Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau) Money Talks (Chris Tucker), Blue Crush, Tourque (Ice
Cube, Lawrence Fishburn), The Perfect Holiday (Charlie Murphy, Katt Williams), and
Big Mommas (Martin Lawrence). Evidencing his strong music ties, he’s also appeared in
Hip Hop driven films such as Idlewild (Outkast), and Who’s Your Caddy (Terry Crews,
Sherri Shepherd) as well as guested on Ludacris’ Freaky Thangs from the album Word
of Mouf.
In 2012, Love began appearing in a series of commercials for the pre-paid wireless
provider Boost Mobile, promoting its new 4G phones.
His voiceover roles include the voices of “Bruce The Bear” in Zookeeper and “Sweet” in
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. TV appearances include Black-Ish, Its Always Sunny
in Philadelphia, That’s So Raven, Real Husbands of Hollywood and The New Edition
Story.
In 2018 Faizon ushered in the digital age, by starring in YOUTUBE RED’S first, original
scripted series Step Up: Highwater. He is currently filming Season 2
