Tex Mex Comedy Tour

William Lee Martin “Cowboy Bill”

Standing at a stark, 6’3”, comedian William Lee Martin pours his heart out on the stage each night with engaging original material of family, the frailty of life, and love, with a sense of genuine charm and wit.  With a gut busting, tremendously rapid laughs-per-minute story telling style that rivals even the most recognized household names in comedy, it is easy to see how he is one of the strongest acts on stage in America and across the ocean.

At first glance, many draw their own conclusions about Martin. But after seeing him, many get it wrong. You won’t hear talks about the rodeo. There are no references to bucking bulls, trailer parks, riding and roping. But the moment he steps into the spotlight in his signature Restistol Cowboy hat, starched jeans and heavily pressed button-down collared-shirt, you will discover what millions of fans have and that is that this big Texas man with a toothy grin is unlike any comedian performing today.

Starting comedy in 1996, he went from opening mic to club headliner in two years. With no props, guitar or gimmicks, he then went from there to touring with some of the biggest names in country music including George Strait, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Loretta Lynn and the late, great, George Jones. In 2002, he signed with the management team of the now famed, Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He has also toured overseas, entertaining our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.

A prolific writer and meticulous performer with the precision of a fine painter, Martin draws you in with his Texas twang but then you realize he’s more refined than what you’ve come to expect with someone like him with an accent and a hat. Given the nickname by his grandfather at birth who shared the same name, for years Martin went by “Cowboy Bill” on stage.  Deciding to open up his universal appeal and not limit his reach, Martin made the change in 2016 and reverted back to his given name.

Martin is a maverick. He self produced, sold, and promoted his first television special, Let the Laughter Roll on CMT that had over 1 million viewers.  He also has a huge social media following of his video blog, the CosManPolitan Report where he smartly takes an article from Cosmopolitan Magazine and does a man’s man interpretation of it.

Martin is also a loving husband and father of 5 with kids ranging from 31 to 12. Martin also gives back to the community with his non-profit, 501c3, Cowboys Who Care Foundation which delivers cowboy and cowgirl hats to kids with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Martin and his team of “cowboys” have delivered over 7,000 hats coast-to-coast.

These days you can find Martin touring at sea with Carnival Cruise Lines’ Punchliner where his ranked one of the tops in the world or on land on the Tex-Mex Comedy Tour with legendary performer and friend for 20 years, Mr. Alex Reymundo

Without a doubt, William Lee Martin is reaching an audience that many performers cannot.  Folks of all colors, backgrounds, and accents simply have fallen in love with this 5th Generation Texan.  Now it’s your turn to discover him for yourself.

With two 1hour specials that aired on Showtime, Comedy Central & NETFLIX (Red-Nexican & Award winning Hick-Spanic) Reymundo appeals to all demographics. Three words describe him best … FUNNY as HELL.

Alex’s exposure to LIVE standup began in Arlington, TX in 1988. Reymundo proudly boasts about serving Ron White Tequila & a Budweiser right before he hit the stage on Tatersalad’s amateur comedy debut. The two Texas comics emerged & traveled the nation together for the first few years of their early careers.

Five years of road gigging throughout the mid-west led Alex to Los Angeles where he discovered an exploding Latino comedy scene. It wasn’t long before Alex was touring with Paul Rodriguez. The timing was right & before too long Alex emerged as One of Paramount Picture’s “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy” along side Paul Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, George Lopez & Joey Medina.

Reymundo went on to be a highlight of P. Diddy’s “Bad Boy’s of Comedy” first season. Over the next few years Alex premiered his two 1hour comedy specials Hick-Spanic & Red-Nexican.

As of recent Reymundo can be seen across the nation touring Alone or with O’l friend & Blue Collar’s Bad Boy Ron White. Reymundo was seen by 6 million viewers on CMT (2011) with Ron White’s Salute to the Troops (w/ Lewis Black & Kathleen Madigan).

Alex played as Producer & Host on “The Payaso Comedy Slam” (Showtime & Comedy Central) & “The Latin Diva’s of Comedy” (Showtime). Reymundo used his producer skills to launch & CEO his own Premium Tequila label, “Number JUAN Tequila” that he co-owns with Ron White.

The twenty year standup has widened his skills in 3 films,  “Permanent Vacation”, “The Movement” & “El Matador” has done voice over work for many companies as well as Disney’s animated “Cars” project and has 20 years of touring under his belt. Alex has performed on the deck of the USS Roosevelt at sea and soared with legendary Blue Angels.  Reymundo was born in Acapulco Mexico, raised in Ft. Worth, Texas and now resides in the Blue Grass state of Kentucky.
